2yr Anniversary Giveaway

Last year, I gave out 2 Philips food processors and 1 Kenwood food processor around Easter time. I promised that this was going to be an annual thing and I am happy to be able to keep that promise. Last year, I got us all excited about food processors. This year, I have gotten us all excited about spiralising food and what better way to keep the momentum going than to give out Spiralisers.

I mean, think of the dishes you can produce from Spiralising

Fruit Salad

Fruit Parfait

Our Nigerian Vegetable Salad

Dooney’s Kitchen has truly grown in the past one year. One of the major achievements is the Tribe site, and I want to say thank you to each and everyone of you that has signed up to be a part of it. Who knows, next year, we could have two anniversary giveaways. To celebrate 3 years of Dooney’s Kitchen and 1 yr of The Tribe. For continuing with me on this journey, I am giving out Spiralisers to members of the Tribe. I am a strong believer of you make your own luck,. Like with last year, you are going to have to earn your gadget. Hey, if you were going to buy this, it would have been with money that was earned, one way or the other.

What is available – *the brands in the picture are for descriptive purposes only.

Location – Nigeria

  • Spiral Peelers (5)
  • Vegetti (2)
  • Spiralisers (2)

Location – UK

  • Spiralisers (2)

Location – Undefined:

  • Spiralisers (3)

This means that, if you are not in either of the locations above, you can still get one. As long as it is sold online in your location, it would be bought and shipped to you.

How To Enter

  • Submit recipes of your best dishes to the Tribe site (click HERE) – the term best dish is relative, but the Tribe Elders will be looking out for recipes where you made an effort. 4 steps of a “jollof rice” recipe for example won’t fly with them.

How will this work?

Entries for this giveaway will be tiered i.e. the more you put in, the more you get.

Nigeria

  1. The first 5 people to submit one recipe considered worthy by the Tribe Elders get a Spiral Peeler
  2. The first 2 people to submit two recipes get a Vegetti
  3. Two people who submit three recipes considered worthy by the Tribe Elders get a Spiraliser. For this category, to increase your chances of being chosen, if you submit step by step pictures, you will be bumped up the list.

UK and the rest of the world

  1. Five people who submit three recipes considered worthy by the Tribe Elders get a Spiraliser. For this category, to increase your chances of being chosen, if you submit step by step pictures, you will be bumped up the list.

Note: To get a Spiraliser, timing is not a factor i.e. no “first to submit”. So, don’t rush and submit a recipe that may not pass the judging process.

Entries will run for ONE WEEK starting from today and closes 27th March. Ensure that you submit your entry with two tags: Giveaway and your Location. All winners will be announced at Easter time. Good Luck!!!

About Dooney

Dooney is the blogger, recipe developer and photographer for Dooney's Kitchen. I spend my days trying to figure out creative ways to redefine Nigerian food, either by creating a new dish itself using ingredients in ways that have never been used before, or changing the approach to Nigerian cooking using kitchen gadgets.

Nigerian food, is bold, multi faceted, rich, colourful, spicy and with varied nuances, as you move from tribe to tribe. To describe Nigerian cooking, one would say it is fiercely traditional and somewhat dogmatic, but Dooney’s Kitchen proposes to simplify methods and steps that have been passed from generation to generation whilst also challenging some of these methods using Technology. The New Nigerian Cookery isn’t just about creating a New Nigerian Kitchen, or should we say a more technology aware Nigerian cooking experience, but it encompasses redefining recipes too. Come along on the journey, and welcome to one of the best online resources for Nigerian food.
