Another amazing feedback from my Meat Pie recipe. It is even more special because it was her very first attempt at making Meat Pie. If you are yet to try it out, here is another reason to.
Thanks for prompt response wonder-lady!
Logistics of rushing to get my meat pie ready in time for our day trip to the beach side prevented me from replying or even to take photographs of step by step (sad face). But guess what? it came out lovely…. no one believed it was my first attempt to make a meat pie. It came out moist and so tasty just like Mr Biggs’, I almost finished eating all the sauce before rolling it in dough lol, hubby kept shaking his head for me ha ha ha
I even went a little adventurous, I used a tall wine glass cup (its circumference can be compared to standard Mc Donalds regular cup) to cut my dough, I rolled this up and the size formed a mini meat pie for the kids lol
One little girl walked up to me and said what’s the secret of your pie aunty? I was so blushing, I couldn’t even say a word, I just gave her a very big hug and said thank you. Even the meat pie guru maker in our company had to put her ego down and asked me for the recipe Lol, I quickly jotted it down for her. She was so amused with the little tips of adding bay leaf and the part where you mix flour with water to be added to the sauce, that was like magic to me too. You really need to see the shock on my face when I added it and got a perfect result!!!!!
But just a quick question, do I need to keep my gas mark at 250 throughout the baking process or turn it down when I put my pie in the oven? It came out a little too brown for me but I’m not sure whether that’s due to too much egg I rubbed on it or too much heat….
I’d better start my work load at the office now, catch ya soon and thanks a million!!!!
NB; I’ll try to make it again next weekend so I can add pictures
Thanks Deola.
