If you would rather not buy coconut milk in a can, here’s how to make yours at home.
1.Break the coconut into pieces with a hammer and pry out the coconut meat from the shell. Slice the coconut into thin pieces
2. Blend it with as little water as possible.
3. Pour it in a bowl using a sieve to separate the chaff from the milk, then pour a little hot boiling water into the chaff and soak for a few minutes then use your hands to squeeze out the chaff then sieve it again.
Continue this process till you can see the water has become transparent then you will know that the milk is gone.
