Have you stopped receiving Email Notifications from the blog?

On July 28, I made the brave step to self host the blog. What this means is that I moved from WordPress.com which was free, to wordpress.org using Bluehost as my hosting provider. I have been getting some comments lately from readers who had opted in to subscribe to the blog prior to July 28, saying they no longer receive emails notifications of new posts. My sincerest apologies for this. The migration that occurred in July must have stopped the notifications.

I would simply advise you to re-subscribe again, and to also check your Spam folder. I have also received comments from new subscribers post July 28, who have noticed they also don’t receive email notifications. It just may be that the emails are being filtered to your Spam folder, which no one checks anyway. If you find the email in your spam folder, simply add the address as a contact, that way subsequent emails will be going to your inbox and you won’t miss out on all the amazing recipes being posted weekly.

To subscribe, type in your email address in the top left hand corner of the blog, and click on subscribe.

The blog is also linked to Facebook and Twitter. Simply Like or Follow, and you can also receive updates through those means.

My apologies again for the hassle. Thanks

About Dooney

Dooney is the blogger, recipe developer and photographer for Dooney's Kitchen. I spend my days trying to figure out creative ways to redefine Nigerian food, either by creating a new dish itself using ingredients in ways that have never been used before, or changing the approach to Nigerian cooking using kitchen gadgets.

Nigerian food, is bold, multi faceted, rich, colourful, spicy and with varied nuances, as you move from tribe to tribe. To describe Nigerian cooking, one would say it is fiercely traditional and somewhat dogmatic, but Dooney’s Kitchen proposes to simplify methods and steps that have been passed from generation to generation whilst also challenging some of these methods using Technology. The New Nigerian Cookery isn’t just about creating a New Nigerian Kitchen, or should we say a more technology aware Nigerian cooking experience, but it encompasses redefining recipes too. Come along on the journey, and welcome to one of the best online resources for Nigerian food.
