For some of us, one of our most repeated kitchen sin is wasting fruit. I am so very guilty of this, when my friend Ade put this up, I thought, GENIUS. Apart from the well known method of freezing fruits whole, especially berries, for fruits with pulp, like mango, if you have some left that you know you may not get around to eating, before it goes bad, puree it in a blender, pour into an ice tray and let it freeze for hours, after which you remove and empty into a freezer which you can later select individually for use.

When you buy fruits in bulk, to prevent wastage, portion different fruits into individual bags and freeze. You can then bring one bag out per day and make smoothies with them.
